Like many other AAA games, BioWare`s just-released Mass Effect: Andromeda offers microtransactions for its multiplayer mode. Now that the game is available in the wild, pricing for its virtual currency, called Points, has emerged on digital storefronts such as the Xbox Store and the PlayStation Store.Points can be spent on new multiplayer packs, which come with cosmetic items. Alternatively, multiplayer packs can be acquired through normal gameplay, so the microtransactions are more of a means to unlock the items more quickly. Andromeda`s Points are offered in bundles, starting with 500 for $5 and running up to 12,000 for $100.
