(Source: Statistik Austria) Press release: 11.475-035/17 Vienna, 2017-02-20 - A total of 6.65 million motor vehicles was registered on reference day 31 December 2016, by 1.7% more than the year before (2015: +1.2%) as Statistics Austria reports. Passenger cars, the most important type of vehicle (share: 72.5%), showed an increase of 1.5% to 4.82 million vehicles. Increases were reported for tractors used for agriculture and forestry (+0.6% to 456 394 units), lorries cat.
